Q-Switch

Today, there is a solution for hair removal using the Q-Switched laser. This medical laser can be used on skin that is already tanned.

The Q-Switched laser works at a wavelength of 1064 nm. Its pulse length is measured in nanoseconds, which means that it is much shorter than other hair-removal lasers which operate in milliseconds. This makes the effect of the Q-Switched laser mechanical: it works as a shockwave which weakens the root of the hair.

After your session, the treated hairs turn white and gradually fall out. This can take up to two weeks, during which time it is recommended that you shave and exfoliate regularly.

The result

After just one session, the skin remains hair-free for between 2 to 4 months.
